2024 GolfStatus LEAGUE

FORMAT:

9 Holes. Two-Person Scramble. Match Play.  

All scoring will be approved by the commissioner of the league.

MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

SCHEDULE:

18 weeks, April 16, through August 13.

Start time:

Shotgun start at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday.

DIVISIONS:

Divisions for league play will be determined after completion of the first two weeks of play. All men will play from the BLUE tees, women may play from the RED tees. If your team only has one player, that player may hit two shots until they reach the green, at which point they may only play one shot.  If your team uses a substitute, you will not receive strokes from an opponent, but will still be required to give strokes to an opponent with a higher scoring average. No substitutes will be allowed during playoff weeks (i.e., week 10 and week 18).  

There will be four divisions with eight teams each for a total of 32 teams (assuming a full field). Divisions will be based on your two-week preseason score, and will be reset at the halfway point.

Scoring:

Points will be awarded as follows: 1 for a hole win, 0.5 for a hole tie, and 0 for a hole loss. 2 points will be awarded for the team with the low (net) match total. A team can win a maximum of 8 points per week. Results and standings will be posted on the website. Handicaps will be based on scoring averages with a maximum of 3 strokes given in each division. Example: If Team A has a scoring average of 37 and Team B has a scoring average of 42, Team A will give Team B 3 shots, not 5 shots. If your opponent does not show up for your match, please play and post a score. A random draw will be done to select a team within your flight to compare scores against. Handicap strokes will be given accordingly.

FEES:

$210 per golfer, backed by the GolfStatus guarantee (green fees and cart fees NOT INCLUDED).

LEAGUE GUARANTEE: 

The retail value of the items distributed during and after the league will exceed the fees collected.  In this league, each golfer will receive one free featured draft beer each night and two catered league dinners. League members will also be eligible for numerous flag prizes, league winner prizes and payouts.

Prizes:

Prizes and payouts will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. In the event of a tie, the payouts will be split.
