On tap for Monday is Thunderhead’s Cornstalker Wheat, a semi-dark dunkelweizen that’s an easy-drinking beer. Dunkelweizens hail from Germany, and are typically darker wheat beers with complex malts and nicely balanced bitterness. The CornStalker Wheat has very nice roasty notes and is a perfect complement for the dreary weather we've been having. This week’s featured can is Firestone-Walker Union Jack, an aggressively hopped West Coast IPA with pineapple, citrus and piney aromas and dry hop flavors of grapefruit and tangerine.
On tap for Tuesday’s Holmes league will be Empyrean Mango IPA, an Imperial IPA with aromas of mango and tropical fruit followed by layered flavors of bright hop bitterness, warm alcohol and sweet mango. We’ll also be sampling their Dark Side Vanilla Porter and Luna Sea ESB. Dark Side is smooth, dark, and roasted with highlights of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Luna Sea is an Extra Special Bitter brewed with imported English malts for a bold, caramel-sweet, yet crisp ale.
